Hi Klaus,

The current Symvol plugin, which you have, works in both Rhino v4 and v5.

32-bit works right now, but our QA has come back with some minor bugs which we are fixing.
64-bit is in the works, and we hope to release it very soon.

All the best,
Cherie

Hi Cherie,

great news, I running 64bit win7... but 32bit vista on another notebook (that will do for the wait)

by the way – I sometimes think you might employ NVIDIA’s CUDA for your algorithm’s.

Did you think about it too?

And I’d really like to know, if NEON for Rhino will be capable of rendering the symvol-volumes
faster or at all.

The new MeshUp-funktionallity is very promising.

Thx for your brilliant work.

curiously

Klaus

Yes, we are actually working on GPU acceleration!

We have not tested NEON yet with Symvol, but we expect it may not work with our system and it will likely not help us perform any faster. Their rendering off of poly surfaces, which we do not use. For us the key to speed lies with GPU acceleration and the upcoming cloud computation.

Thanks for your praise, engagement and support Klaus!

Cherie
