Fuel3D Kickstarter update video re: auto alignment

Added by Cam Macduff over 1 year ago

Hi there,
not very hopeful re: my request as this forum isn't at all active.
Which is a pity - you have a great product.
Anyway, I bought a MeshUp license when I purchased my Fuel3D Scanner.
I get the beta notices which is great.
But I recall, way back in late 2013 during the Kickstarter campaign, there were vague promises in a Youtube video of auto precision alignment.
Doesn't look like it ever came to pass.
Still on the road map? Or do I have to buy Fuel3D's subscription only version of 'Studio' to access that kind of feature?

Glad to hear you are enjoying MeshUP. This forum is not used often as most of our users tend to communicate via the Bug button in MeshUP, or by emailing us directly at .

Stitching and registration was originally planned as an add on to MeshUP for supporters of Fuel3D's Kickstarter campaign. As development continued after the Kickstarter campaign ended, Fuel3D made the choice to keep MeshUP as an independent / external application, develop the Studio suite and integrate our stitching and registration technology into the Studio suite directly.

Uformia does plan to offer some form of stitching, but we are tackling a few features and improvements in MeshUP first. If this is of interest, email with the title 'StitchUP' and we can add you to a Beta testing list when / if it becomes available.

Hey, sorry, completely missed this.
I have heard from Fuel3D/Scanify now and they've offered me a upgraded studio license for a year.
Bit of bummer though as it was conveyed it would be in Uformia which I like better.
Maybe an inclusion in the future? Would seem to make sense as we use your software with a variety of scanners.

Good that Fuel3D offered an upgraded studio license so you can use the stitching and registration feature.
As mentioned above, stitching is on our feature wish list for MeshUP, so it is indeed possible that you will see this in future.

Thank you for letting us know that MeshUP is working out well for you!
